While I was away on a beautiful vacation, Spinnin’ Records / Spinnin’ Deep released future house single REMEDY by the amazing Zonderling featuring Mingue. Our goal for this song was to have the melody flow in off center and mystical waves, building to a ‘must move my body’ drop. I hold the Zonderling boys in high respect! Their sound, their musicality and almost palpable depth of the beats and baselines are quite something. This collaboration (also with my endlessly creative co-writer and partner in crime Tony Verdult) was a true treat!
I hope you’ll like this new release! Add it to your playlists and dance dance dance!
Bisous.

It’s always a pleasure and empowering to perform all by myself. For half an hour I’m busy singing, looping, using several effects on my keys and voice, starting beats and playing the piano. I would lie if I’d say it doesn’t increase my stress levels a tiny bit… All in good proportions though! Solo gigs keep it real. They force you to become vulnerable for the audience and that little bit of vulnerability keeps the performance purer than pure. Next to that the setting was just magical. Right after Conny Janssen Danst’s dancers performed in the immense reservoir of water to beautifully played music by Phillip Glass, I waded to this tiny stage and got to cast a spell over the audience once more. #love 🙂

I’m bad at keeping secrets! These are the releases I’ve worked on so far as Mingue, Ming’s Pretty Heroes or ssst… incognito:
My experience with live music has always varied from playing by myself (piano, vocals plus effects) to playing with a full band. My band is made up by a drummer, bassist, keyplayer, violinist and of course myself on vocals. With this band we perform all the Mingue releases plus many more. Our performances are best described as Electric meets Organic. Playing with my boyband will always be an important part of my musical career, but!
I’ve added a fantastic new option the Mingue party! A few months ago, after receiving my first night club bookings, I teamed up with DJ Edgar. You will hear the beats and productions as they were meant by the producers, deep and danceable! I still bring all my vocal effects to every show and discovered that I get to go full on vocal even more with this set up. So don’t be shy… Have a cool event coming up? You choose!
Mingue Solo (for more intimate settings)
Mingue XL (band set-up for concert settings, parties, festivals)
Mingue’s DJ Set w/ live vocals (suitable for everything!)
